Crafting Memories: My Journey with Singer Momento

Meet Amanda Stahl, our Singer Momento Product Specialist. She has played an integral role in bringing the Momento to life and creating content to help you in your crafting journey. In this month’s blog we are excited to hear from her about her experience sewing and crafting with Singer.

I can't recall a time when I didn't know how to sew; it's been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From stitching my own clothes in middle school to helping my mom with household items, sewing has always been a natural part of my creative expression.

Every major holiday became an opportunity for me to dive into crafting, whether it was making decorations with my mom or crafting personalized gifts for friends and family. I draw inspiration from everything around me – whether it's a beautiful fabric that sparks an idea for a new project or a desire to add my personal touch to something I've seen online or in-store.

The Singer Momento holds a special place in my heart because it combines tradition with innovation. Learning to sew on a Singer machine myself, I felt a sense of nostalgia when I started using the Singer Momento. Its ease of use and versatility have allowed me to expand my creative horizons, from crafting gifts to even helping my brother create a unique decal for his truck.

What excites me most about the Singer Momento are the small details that have been carefully integrated into its design. From pre-loaded presets to the ability to save designs directly to the machine, every feature has been tailored with the sewist in mind.

Being involved in the Singer Momento project from the beginning has been incredibly fulfilling. Seeing ideas evolve from concepts to tangible products on the market is nothing short of thrilling.

When it comes to crafting tools, I have a few favorites. The mini press and the 6” brayer were invaluable during the creation of the Momento Signature Quilt, ensuring every stitch was perfect.

While I often write my own tutorials and projects, I value the input of my colleagues. Collaborating with them not only helps develop new ideas and projects but also provides a supportive environment for bouncing ideas around.

My journey with the Singer Momento is a testament to the power of creativity and collaboration. With every project, I continue to craft memories and create treasures that will last a lifetime.
